Now boys and Men have a much smaller selection of swimsuit styles compared to our lovely Funkita sisters. There are a range of smaller briefs and trunks and the more modest training jammers. Funky Trunks Classic Trunks

The Funky Trunks classic trunks are available for both boys and men. They have short sides (Boy’s 13cm / Men’s 16.5cm) and a single, fully lined front panel. The stitched pouch is double lined in the men’s version for extra support. With an elastic waistband and leg openings for a tight, comfortable fit. The stitched pouch is visible on the front of the trunks in the men's, there is no visible stitching on the boys.

Classic trunks are Funky Trunks' original swimwear. They have short sides and a modest box-like shape. This shorter style will appeal to experienced swimmers and has some major benefits. Less material means less drag and allows for a better range of motion. Your legs are free and can move in all directions with no restrictions. Plus, the trunks are not pulled and stretched while you train so they retain their shape for longer. The classic trunk is one of the bigger trunk styles and offers excellent comfort and support.

Funky Trunks Plain Front Trunks

The Funk Trunks Plain Front Trunks are remarkably similar to the classic trunks. This style has slightly longer sides and is the same shape. The main difference is that they have a flat front with no visible stitching lines. So the difference is purely visual and up to the preference of the swimmer. This variation is available for Men.

Funky Trunks Sidewinder Trunks

The Funky Trunks Sidewinder Trunks have a slightly shorter leg than the classic trunks. They have a smaller, slimmer cut that sits lower on the hips. With 12cm sides on the boys and 14cm on the men’s trunks. Sidewinder Trunks have a single front panel that is fully lined and no stitching lines on the front. Similar to the front of the Plain Front Trunks. This skinner style is still extremely comfortable and durable with wide elastic leg and waistband openings.

Having shorter sides means even greater flexibility and a fuller range of motion. The lower waistband also reduced the amount of fabric and reduces drag. Giving the sidewinder trunks a slight performance advantage over the classic trunk style.

Who are the Sidewinder Trunks For?

The Funky Trunks Sidewinder Trunks are suitable for advanced club swimmers. You could easily transition to Sidewinder Trunks if you are already using classic trunks. The subtle size difference is not huge, but less material means less fabric.

A good choice for boys and men training regularly who are looking for comfort and an excellent range of motion. The smaller shape is still boxy and modest.

Funky Trunks Classic Briefs

The Funky Trunks Classic Cut Brief is the smallest Funky Trunks male style. With 5cm sides for boys and 8cm for men. They have a flat elastic waistband and front lining and elastic leg openings. This style offers swimmers unrivaled freedom of movement and is ideal for frequent pool use and performance-based swimming.

This style resembles the classic Speedo look. With the least amount of fabric, you can move through the water with no restrictions.
